Non so quanto sia completa (nè aggiornata, ma ovviamente non per colpa sua) la trattazione. Il primo versetto su cui s'inciampa potrebbe essere Gn 14,19 che ha proprio "לְאֵ֣ל עֶלְי֔וֹן קֹנֵ֖ה" riferito al Dio (El) altissimo (Elyon). Viene difficile tradurre "comprare" o "generare" in questo passo, che sembra avere proprio un altro senso.
Burney si dimentica, però, di dire che Genesi 14,19 può essere tradotto benissimo con "padrone", "possessore" e non solo con "creatore", come hanno fatto tantissime bibbie famose che riporto:
